VOLANT Aerotech is a Shanghai-based aerospace company developing manned eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft for passenger mobility, founded in June 2021 by aviation veteran Dong Ming. Its flagship VE25-100 model is a premium commercial passenger eVTOL that has secured more than 1,900 letters of intent and confirmed orders worth over RMB 47.5 billion from customers including China Southern Airlines General Aviation and CAR Inc. The company operates a smart manufacturing and flight-test base in Zigong capable of producing 300 aircraft annually, and its core team includes veterans of COMAC, Airbus, and GE who worked on programs like the C919 and ARJ21.
