viboo develops room-specific AI heating control and digital energy management that make low-tech and existing buildings energy-efficient. The company is based on years of research at Empa and ETH Zurich as well as other building-automation laboratories such as RWTH Aachen and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. If Europe's buildings consume 30% less heat, the continent's energy demand and CO2 emissions could fall by around 10%; viboo reports more than 200 realized projects, about 27% less heating energy, and 25 team members. Co-founders Felix Bünning and Benjamin Huber developed the platform's algorithms, with Matthias Sulzer as chairman.
