UrbanX Technologies, Inc. is a Tokyo-based AI startup that provides digital infrastructure management solutions for urban environments. Founded in April 2020 as a spin-off from the University of Tokyo, the company's core product is an AI-powered road inspection system called RoadManager ("Drive Recorder Road Manager"), which enables municipalities and road managers to conduct routine road damage inspections using ordinary smartphones or vehicle-mounted drive recorders — eliminating the need for expensive specialized inspection vehicles.
