Unshackled Ventures is the first and only early-stage venture capital fund focused on retaining foreign talent in the U.S. Founded in 2015 by Manan Mehta and Nitin Pachisia, the firm invests at day zero — pre-product and pre-revenue — into technical immigrant founders and helps them secure work authorization and permanent residency at no cost to the founder. Beyond capital, Unshackled sponsors visas, provides full immigration support, and builds a community of resources to remove obstacles for immigrant entrepreneurs. The firm has deployed over $35 million across more than 80 companies and has sponsored over 200 founders with visa support across three funds.
