Intelligent farming robots for Australian agriculture
Agerris is an Australian agricultural robotics company spun out of the Australian Centre for Field Robotics (ACFR) at the University of Sydney. Founded in 2018 and publicly launched in April 2019 with $6.5 million in seed funding from Uniseed, Carthona Capital, and BridgeLane Group, Agerris develops machine-learning-powered autonomous farming robots. Its flagship product, the Digital Farmhand, is a tractor-sized field robot designed to help farmers monitor crops, predict yields, reduce pesticide use, and address labor shortages through intelligent automation. CEO Salah Sukkarieh, a professor of robotics at the University of Sydney, led the company from 2019 to 2022.
