UNIsite

UNIsite Inc. was an owner and operator of wireless communications tower sites in the United States, providing tower building, site acquisition, and collocation services to wireless carriers during the 1990s build-out of cellular networks. The company developed an Internet-based interactive Antenna Site Catalog and teamed with the US Postal Service in 1996 to open up postal properties as cell tower sites. UNIsite served major carriers including Sprint PCS, Nextel, and Omnipoint. UNIsite was merged with American Tower Corporation in January 2000 for approximately $173 million in stock, becoming part of American Tower's growing portfolio of wireless communications infrastructure assets.
