UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health

The UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health is the public health school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, founded in 1936. It is consistently ranked #2 overall and #1 among public schools of public health by U.S. News & World Report. The school offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs across seven departments: Biostatistics, Environmental Sciences and Engineering, Epidemiology, Health Behavior, Health Policy and Management, Maternal and Child Health, and Nutrition. Gillings faculty conduct translational research with a focus on environmental cancer, cardiopulmonary health, and healthy aging and development. The school operates global health hubs internationally and runs the North Carolina Institute for Public Health (NCIPH) as its practice arm. Graduate alumni pursue careers in epidemiology, environmental health, health policy, and public health leadership across government, academia, and the nonprofit sector.
