TymeBank

TymeBank is South Africa's first fully digital bank, founded in 2018 and majority black-owned, focused on driving meaningful financial inclusion by making banking more accessible and affordable for all South Africans. Operating through cloud-based technology with no legacy burden, TymeBank distributes accounts through a nationwide network of kiosks inside Pick n Pay and Boxer retail stores, allowing customers to open accounts and transact at over 14,000 till points. The bank launched with an EveryDay transactional account, GoalSave savings tool, MoneyTransfer solution, and TymeCoach credit monitoring app, and has since reached 10 million customers to become the first digital bank to achieve profitability in Africa. Majority owned by African Rainbow Capital (ARC), TymeBank is part of the global Tyme Group and has expanded its model internationally.
