About
Trion Worlds, originally founded as Trion World Network in 2006 by former EA executive Lars Buttler and former NCsoft producer Jon Van Caneghem, was an American video game developer headquartered in Redwood City, California, focused primarily on massively multiplayer online games. The company's titles included the MMORPG Rift, the open-world shooter Defiance (produced alongside a companion Syfy television series), the voxel-based MMORPG Trove, and the tactics game Atlas Reactor.
