Trim is building an AI model that can simulate real-world physical systems evolving over time, for example generating how waves on a beach move forward given their starting position. The Trim Transformer, a custom implementation of Galerkin-type attention, offers linear-attention that scales linearly in computation time with respect to both dimensions and grid size, unlike traditional physics simulations that take exponentially longer as dimensions increase. Trim trains its models by running traditional physics simulations and feeding the results into its pipeline.
