Treeswift

Treeswift is a robotics and machine learning company that provides AI-powered vegetation intelligence for electric utilities and forestry operators. Spun out of the University of Pennsylvania, the platform combines autonomous ground vehicles, LiDAR sensors, and computer vision to create high-resolution digital twins of vegetation conditions along transmission and distribution corridors. This enables utilities to optimize vegetation management spending, prevent wildfire-related outages, and accelerate storm recovery. The system integrates with existing GIS and work planning software and scales from urban sidewalks to remote locations. Applications include wildfire risk scoring, timber value appraisal, carbon capture estimation, biomass measurement, and deforestation monitoring.
