Tommy John was founded in 2008 by Tom Patterson and his wife Erin Fujimoto after Patterson grew frustrated with underperforming undergarments that bunched and rode up. The pair designed the original Stay-Tucked Undershirt, which grew into a full comfort-apparel brand spanning men's and women's underwear, loungewear, sleepwear, and everyday apparel built from proprietary fabrics. The company has since sold more than 30 million pairs and built a following around its 'Comfort Perfected' positioning.
