TKG Therapeutics

TKG Therapeutics, Inc. is a Tokyo-based biotechnology company founded in 2022 developing nucleic acid-derived cancer immunotherapy drugs. The company's proprietary dual hairpin DNA technology, originating from the University of Tokyo, is triggered by cancer-specific microRNAs (miRNAs) to self-assemble within cancer cells, forming nucleic acid aggregates that are recognized as foreign substances by the immune system. This mechanism activates innate immunity and induces cancer cell death without targeting normal cells. TKG Therapeutics is also advancing an immersion solid-phase synthesis method called the 'jabot-zuke' method for nucleic acid manufacturing, and plans to use its seed funding to develop its pharmaceutical formula, conduct pre-clinical trials, and build new nucleic acid synthesis equipment.
