THORChain

THORChain is a decentralized, permissionless cross-chain exchange protocol that enables native cryptocurrency swaps across 13+ blockchains — including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Dogecoin, and Litecoin — without wrapped tokens, bridges, or KYC requirements. Created by anonymous developers at a Binance Hackathon in 2018 and launched in 2019, THORChain uses its native RUNE token as the universal settlement asset paired in all liquidity pools. Nodes bond RUNE to secure the network, and fees are distributed in RUNE to liquidity providers and node operators. The protocol has processed over $119 billion in swaps and supports integration by any wallet or application through a free public API, enabling affiliates to earn fees on volume routed through THORChain.
