Third Intelligence is a Japanese AI research and product development company, founded in March 2025 as a spin-out from the Matsuo Laboratory at the University of Tokyo, focused on creating Ubiquitous AGI — a new paradigm of artificial general intelligence that learns and evolves independently alongside individual users rather than relying on centralized datasets. Unlike conventional AI systems controlled by a few large corporations, Third Intelligence's Ubiquitous AGI model enables every user to cultivate a personalized AI partner that grows with them.
