About
Tensor Auto (formerly AutoX) is an American AI and autonomous vehicle company founded in 2016 in Silicon Valley by former Princeton professor Jianxiong Xiao. The company is pioneering the next generation of agentic and autonomous AI through its flagship product — the world's first personal Level 4 robocar. Tensor's vehicle features over 100 advanced multimodal sensors including five lidars (including the proprietary Tensor Halo emitting 25.6 million beams per second), 17 ultra-high-resolution cameras, and a 8,000 TOPS onboard supercomputer powered by eight NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor SoCs. The vehicle includes stowable steering and pedals, a natural language AI agent interface, and end-to-end encrypted private data architecture. Tensor holds California DMV certification for L4 autonomous testing without a safety driver since 2020 and has offices in Barcelona, Singapore, and Dubai.
