Tenka Labs

Tenka Labs (now operating as Tenka Inc.) is a Willits, California-based STEM toy company and the creator of Circuit Cubes, a line of electronic building blocks compatible with LEGO-style bricks. Founded in 2015 by John Schuster and Nate MacDonald — educators who met while working in a Marin County, CA school district — the company was originally called IgnitED Learning Corp and rebranded to Tenka Inc. Circuit Cubes are small, battery-powered electronic modules that snap onto standard building bricks, enabling children ages 5 and up to build illuminated, motorized, and interactive LEGO creations that teach fundamental concepts of circuits, electronics, and engineering through hands-on play. The company debuted a crude early prototype at Maker Faire Bay Area 2015, raising $4.03M in venture funding since then.
