TeleSign (now Telesign, acquired by BICS in 2017) is a California-based provider of digital identity verification, fraud prevention, and programmable communications APIs. Founded in 2005 in Marina del Rey, the company pioneered phone-based two-factor authentication for large-scale consumer internet platforms. Telesign's platform processes billions of digital interactions and mobile signals to deliver phone number intelligence, SMS one-time passwords, voice verification, and RCS messaging services, helping enterprises prevent account takeover, reduce fraud, and manage compliant customer communications globally. The company supports some of the world's largest web properties and serves customers across financial services, e-commerce, gaming, and social media sectors. In December 2021, Telesign announced plans to go public via SPAC merger with North Atlantic Acquisition Corporation.
