tbh was an anonymous social media app for high school students that allowed users to give positive feedback to friends via anonymous polls. Launched in September 2017 by Nikita Bier, Erik Hazzard, Kyle Zaragoza, and Nicolas Ducdodon, the app reached #1 in the U.S. App Store in October 2017 with over 5 million users and was subsequently acquired by Meta Platforms (then Facebook) for an estimated $100 million. Facebook shut down tbh in July 2018 due to low usage. The concept was later relaunched as Gas by co-creator Nikita Bier in 2022.
