Tangled Labs Oy

Tangled Labs Oy is a Finnish startup building a next-generation social coding platform that offers developers a decentralized, open-source alternative to GitHub. Built on the AT Protocol (the same foundation as Bluesky), Tangled enables federated code collaboration where developers can submit pull requests and bug reports across any server. The platform features stacked pull requests, Nix-powered CI, self-hostable infrastructure via 'knots' and 'spindles', and a social timeline for discovering trending projects. Founded by brothers Akshay and Vikram Raju, Tangled raised €3.8 million ($4.5M) in seed funding in March 2026 backed by GitHub's former CEO, to accelerate development as a European alternative to centralized code hosting.
