Tamawal is a SAMA-licensed digital finance broker based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that connects consumers with Sharia-compliant loan offers from licensed financial institutions. The platform covers personal loans, credit cards, auto financing, and real estate financing. Founded in early 2020 by Mohammed Alhathel and Abdullah Alsheikh, Tamawal raised a $1.1M pre-seed round in February 2022. In April 2025, Tamawal received an official license from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) to provide Finance Aggregation Services. The platform operates via a mobile app and positions itself as a fully transparent, fee-free comparison service.
