Surfix

Surfix develops a photonic biosensor diagnostics platform for point-of-care testing, including immuno-based biomarker detection. The company started as a spin-off from the Organic Chemistry department at Wageningen University & Research, building on surface-modification chemistry and later adding biosensing, microfluidics, and system engineering. It now co-develops tailored point-of-care assays on a multi-modal Photonic Diagnostic Platform intended to deliver lab-grade precision in an accessible format. Surfix’s stated mission is to advance global health with accurate, accessible, and affordable diagnostic solutions for disease detection and management.
