STEM Cafe

STEMCafe by RVRB is a network of interactive out-of-school learning centers for children and young adults across Africa, with physical locations in Lagos (Lekki and Yaba), Port Harcourt, Nairobi, and Kigali. The centers offer 100+ hands-on STEM activities spanning robotics, mathematics, engineering, physics, coding, and digital labs, designed to make abstract concepts accessible and engaging through play-based learning. Activities include robot-building, Arduino-based physical computing, 3D prototyping, coding challenges, and science experiments — available for children aged 5 to 18 across a range of skill levels and learning abilities. STEMCafe also operates a remote learning program for home-schoolers and a Summer Maker Club both in-person and virtually. The organization emphasizes inclusivity — welcoming children of all abilities and backgrounds — and places equal weight on developing collaboration, problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity alongside technical competencies. STEMCafe also runs a volunteer program across Nigeria, Rwanda, and Kenya.
