Stellus Capital Investment Corporation

Stellus Capital Investment Corporation is an externally managed, closed-end, non-diversified investment company that has elected to be regulated as a business development company under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and trades on the NYSE under the ticker SCM. Its objective is to maximize total return to stockholders through current income and capital appreciation by investing primarily in private lower middle market companies, typically those with $5 million to $50 million of EBITDA, mainly through first lien and unitranche loans often paired with a corresponding equity investment. It is advised by Stellus Capital Management, LLC, the Houston-based firm led by former senior investment professionals of the D. E. Shaw group's direct capital business, which spun out in January 2012.
