StarFive (Shanghai StarFive Semiconductor Co., Ltd.) is a China-based RISC-V chip and semiconductor solution provider founded in August 2018 and headquartered in Shanghai. The company is a pioneer in RISC-V research and large-scale commercial deployment in China, offering a portfolio of RISC-V CPU IP cores (Dubhe series), Network-on-Chip IP, edge computing SoCs (JH-7110), microcontrollers, data center management chips, and full development platforms including single-board computers. StarFive's chips power IoT devices, industrial control systems, RISC-V laptops, and data center BMC applications, with over five million devices deployed using its Towngas Chip as of 2025. The company has received strategic investment from Hong Kong's HKIC and has been recognized multiple times on the China IC Unicorn Enterprise list and the Hurun Future Unicorns index.
