Building the first power grid in space
Star Catcher is developing the Star Catcher Network, a constellation of Power Nodes that collect, concentrate, and beam solar energy directly to client satellites' existing solar arrays — delivering up to 10x more power on demand with no hardware modifications required. Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, the company holds the world record for optical power beaming and is targeting orbital demonstrations in 2026. Star Catcher's shared power infrastructure is designed to unlock advanced capabilities across satellite connectivity, computing, and national security markets. The company has raised $22.9M in seed funding from Initialized Capital, B Capital, and Rogue VC.
