StakeWise is a liquid staking protocol built around Vaults, osToken, and Oracles. A Vault is a staking pool where stakers deposit ETH or GNO and the Vault stakes those funds and collects the rewards; anyone can open a Vault and set its own rules, including fees and how it is run. Most Vaults accept deposits from anyone, while private and blocklist Vaults restrict who can stake, and each Vault stands on its own so a penalty in one has no effect on stakers in the others.
