Spyce was a Boston-based robotic restaurant startup that pioneered fully automated kitchen technology for preparing healthy grain bowls and salads. The company developed robotic cooking hardware integrated with ordering software to reduce labor costs and increase speed in fast-casual dining. Sweetgreen acquired Spyce in August 2021 for approximately $70 million to scale its 'Infinite Kitchen' automation, then sold the robotics unit to Wonder Group in late 2025 for $186.4 million.
