Spire Power Solutions

Spire Power Solutions L.P. was a leading North American manufacturer of transmission and distribution solutions, including liquid-filled and dry-type transformers serving the utility, public power, renewable energy, construction, industrial, and OEM markets. Founded over a century ago in Athens, Georgia under the Pioneer Transformers brand, the company rebranded as Spire Power Solutions in November 2020 following a 2019 acquisition by private equity firm Mill Point Capital. Spire was sold to ERMCO, Inc. — a subsidiary of Arkansas Electric Cooperatives — in December 2022, at which point its operations were absorbed into ERMCO's broader transformer manufacturing platform.
