The Sparrows is a Shenzhen-based manufacturing consultancy founded in 2023 by hardware and supply chain experts to serve global hardware startups and established brands. The firm acts as an on-the-ground team in China for companies that cannot afford Apple-scale factory management, covering the full journey from first prototype to final shipment — including supplier sourcing, quality control, production oversight, and logistics. Co-founded by Joshua Woodard (hardware development) and Sadie Cui (supply chain), the team combines technical engineering expertise with deep knowledge of the Chinese manufacturing ecosystem to mitigate production risk, control costs, and ensure timely delivery. Their model is designed to be lean and agile, filling the gap between large enterprise operators and solo DIY founders.
