SPACER (スペースアール) is a Japanese IoT smart locker company on a mission to modernize the 60-year-old coin locker industry with smartphone-controlled access. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Tokyo, SPACER develops and operates smart lockers that can be opened and closed via mobile app, enabling on-demand luggage storage, advance reservations, and hotel-delivery services. The company's lockers are deployed across railway stations, retail locations, and convenience stores throughout Japan, including partnerships with Tokyo Metro. SPACER has raised approximately 1 billion yen in Series B funding and is expanding services including its 'pikuraku PORTER' luggage delivery pilot in Kyoto and direct hotel delivery from station lockers.
