Space Star Technology

Space Star Technology Co., Ltd. is a Beijing-headquartered satellite application enterprise established on December 20, 2000, as successor to the 503rd Institute of the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST). It operates as the satellite-application backbone of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) and CAST, and is wholly controlled by Shanghai-listed China DFH Satellite Co. (stock code 600118). The company employs more than 2,700 people, over 1,300 of them at its Beijing headquarters, and runs six business segments: satellite communication, satellite navigation, satellite remote sensing, weapons and military supplies, UAV systems, and information security/cryptography. It provides telemetry, tracking and command (TT&C) and in-orbit satellite services, operates a global ground-station and calibration-site network of more than 60 stations that has served 684 satellites and rockets, and has delivered over 30 international satellite-application projects across more than 20 countries. In August 2026 the company raised nearly RMB 2 billion (about $297 million) across Series D, D+ and D++ rounds from investors including HSG, Qianhai Ark, China Unicom Zhanxin, Zijin Mining, and SAIC Motor.
