Space Power Technologies

Space Power Technologies (SPT) is a Japanese deep-tech startup founded in 2019 as Japan's first startup focused on spatial transmission wireless power transfer (WPT). The company develops microwave-based wireless power supply units that deliver electricity to IoT sensors, industrial displays, and factory devices up to 10 meters away using the 5.7 GHz band — compliant with Japan's wireless power transfer regulations — eliminating the need for wired connections or battery replacements. SPT is also developing a next-generation 24 GHz band system for mobile devices and is collaborating with JAXA on wireless power supply for lunar exploration rovers, with ambitions to expand globally across North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
