天兵科技 (Space Pioneer)

Space Pioneer (北京天兵科技有限公司, Beijing Tianbing Technology Co., Ltd.) is a Chinese private aerospace company founded in 2019 by Kang Yonglai, a PhD in Engineering and former CMC Missile Expert. Headquartered in Fengtai District, Beijing, Space Pioneer develops reusable liquid-propellant orbital launch vehicles under the Tianlong (TL) series, including the TL-2, TL-3, TL-3H, and the TL-3M crewed spacecraft variant. The company also develops the Tianhuo (TH) series of liquid rocket engines (TH-11 LOX/kerosene, TH-12, and TH-31 orbital/attitude control engines). In April 2023, Space Pioneer became the first private Chinese launch company—and the first startup globally—to achieve orbit on its maiden launch attempt with the Tianlong-2 rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The company offers rocket launch services, propulsion system supply, and technical services. Space Pioneer has raised multiple funding rounds including a $14M round in 2020 and a strategic round led by state-owned investors in 2022. As of 2025, the company was moving toward an IPO and had registered under the name Jiangsu Tianbing Aerospace Science & Technology Co., Ltd.
