Sonnest, Inc. develops Electrast™, an ultrasound imaging drug that circulates through the body in an inactive state and is selectively activated in the myocardium, enabling cardiac perfusion evaluation at the point of care without ionizing radiation or toxic dyes. The technology was originally developed at Drexel University and licensed by a team of serial healthcare entrepreneurs. Sonnest raised more than $4M in a Series A in May 2021, with investors including Robin Hood Ventures, Texas Halo Fund, SWAN Impact Network, and Drexel University.
