Social Diabetes

SocialDiabetes is a Barcelona-based digital health platform founded in 2012 by Víctor Bautista, himself a person with Type 1 diabetes, with the mission of transforming diabetes management through technology. The platform offers a mobile app available on Android and iOS for patient self-management of diabetes, alongside a cloud-based medical platform for healthcare providers, payers (insurers), and hospitals to monitor patients, adjust treatments, and communicate remotely. SocialDiabetes has integrated with major CGM and glucometer manufacturers including Dexcom and Menarini, and has commercial partnerships with pharmaceutical companies such as Sanofi and Novo Nordisk. The company has received support from the European Commission, EIT Health, and has operations in Mexico and Spain.
