Simplex Healthcare was a leading direct-to-patient provider of diabetic testing supplies, operating primarily through its subsidiary Diabetes Care Club. Founded in April 2007 and headquartered in the Nashville, Tennessee area, Simplex supplied mail-order glucose meters, test strips, and related diabetic monitoring supplies to seniors and patients across the United States. The company received a $50 million growth equity investment from New Enterprise Associates in 2007. Simplex Healthcare was subsequently acquired by Arriva Medical LLC, a subsidiary of Alere Inc.
