Shippio is Japan's first digital freight forwarder, building a platform that enhances the value of international trade operations and turns trade data into a strategic asset for businesses. Through cloud services for shippers and international logistics providers — as well as direct forwarding operations — Shippio drives the digital transformation of global trade, eliminating manual, paper-heavy workflows and enabling real-time collaboration across all stakeholders in a shipment. Founded in 2016 by CEO Takanori Sato, the company operates a team of ~60 people, the majority of whom are non-Japanese engineers working in English.
