About

Seoul Exchange, operated by PSX Inc., is one of South Korea's only two licensed brokerage platforms for trading unlisted (pre-IPO) securities. Founded in July 2019 by Yang Ju-dong and Kim Se-young, the platform officially launched in December 2020 after receiving innovative financial service designation from the Financial Services Commission in April 2020. Seoul Exchange addresses the historically opaque OTC stock market by providing a transparent online marketplace where retail investors can trade shares in promising pre-IPO startups and employees can liquidate stock options before an IPO. The platform partners with Shinhan Financial Investment and NH Investment & Securities for secure trade settlement. After building its user base with commission-free trading, it began monetizing in Q2 2023 and reached monthly break-even by November 2023. Seoul Exchange is now expanding into the security token offering (STO) and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization market, having selected Story blockchain as its exclusive settlement infrastructure.
