Sentara Group (formerly Nutrition Technologies, rebranded 2025) is a Malaysian biotech company that harnesses the natural potential of local insects to create high-value feed ingredients and agricultural products. Operating from a GMP and HACCP-certified facility in Johor Bahru, Sentara uses Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae to upcycle organic agro-industrial by-products into insect meal (protein), insect oil, and organic fertilizer. Its award-winning tropical production system combines micro-organisms and BSF to accelerate nutrient decomposition and recomposition, producing sustainable alternatives to fishmeal and chemical fertilizers for aquaculture, livestock, and crop production. The company is recognized by the Malaysia & Brunei chapter of the United Nations as a leader in reducing environmental impacts, and has received Series A funding from OpenSpace Capital.
