Scotty

Scotty is a Turkish mobility startup founded in 2017 to address Istanbul's chronic traffic congestion by offering on-demand motorcycle ride-hailing, later expanding into food delivery and package delivery verticals. Journeys that take one to two hours by car in rush hour can take as little as 15 minutes on the platform. The company reached 3 million trips in its first 18 months and screened 70,000 driver applications, admitting only about 10,000 riders after driving tests and equipment checks, supported by a Scotty Academy training program and a driving-score rating system. Positioned as a non-competing alternative to taxis for single-passenger trips, Scotty raised tens of millions of dollars from roughly 30 investors across consecutive rounds.
