Sabre Holdings

Sabre Corporation, originally founded by American Airlines in 1960 as the Semi-Automatic Business Research Environment, is a publicly traded travel technology company headquartered in Southlake, Texas. The company operates the Sabre Global Distribution System, the largest GDS for air bookings, which acts as a neutral intermediary connecting travel suppliers such as airlines and hotels with travel sellers and corporate travel managers. Sabre was spun off from AMR Corporation in 2000, taken private by Texas Pacific Group and Silver Lake Partners in 2007 under the name Sabre Holdings, and relisted on the NASDAQ in 2014 under the ticker SABR. The company employs approximately 6,200 people across offices in over 45 countries and reported revenue of $2.9 billion in 2023.
