Sabana

Sabana is a B2B software company based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that builds an AI-powered data management platform for architects, interior designers, and building product manufacturers. The platform ingests unstructured product data — spec sheets, environmental product declarations, and manufacturer PDFs and websites — and uses large language models to parse it into structured, comparable formats. Architecture and engineering firms use Sabana to search and compare building products, track substitutions and product history across a project, generate construction specifications, and collaborate with teammates on selections, including sustainability criteria like embodied carbon. Sabana was founded in 2024 out of Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business by Ruben Quesada and Saket Kulkarni, and went through the Techstars accelerator program the same year.
