Riyadh Air is Saudi Arabia's second national flag carrier, wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and headquartered in Riyadh. Formally announced on March 12, 2023 by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the airline commenced its first commercial flights on October 26, 2025, operating from its hub at King Khalid International Airport. The airline is positioned to serve the world market with an ambitious route network targeting 100 destinations across six continents by 2030. Its fleet plan includes 39 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, 60 Airbus A321neo, and 25 Airbus A350-1000 aircraft. Riyadh Air has established codeshare agreements with major carriers including Delta Air Lines, Air France-KLM, Singapore Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Air China, Air India, China Eastern, EgyptAir, and Saudia. The airline has partnered with FLYR to deliver a digitally native Offer and Order retailing platform, making it the world's first native ONE Order network carrier.
