RIDI Corporation (formerly known as Ridibooks) is South Korea's leading digital content company, founded in 2008 and headquartered in Seoul. Originally launched as Korea's premier e-book platform — often compared to Kindle — RIDI pioneered the country's digital reading market before expanding into webtoons, web novels, and digital comics. In 2022, the company rebranded from Ridibooks to RIDI to reflect its broader ambitions as a content IP powerhouse. RIDI owns and operates two major platforms: RIDI (Korean-language) and Manta (English and Spanish), a global digital comics platform available in over 175 countries with 19 million downloads. Manta offers unlimited access to stories via a monthly subscription and launched manga in 2025. In 2022, RIDI reached unicorn status — the first content startup in South Korea to do so — following a round that valued the company at $1.3 billion. RIDI reported record annual revenue of approximately 251.6 billion KRW (roughly $190 million) in 2025, driven by manga, webtoon, and web novel fandom consumption.
