Resonext

Resonext Communications was a San Jose, California-based semiconductor company that developed highly integrated CMOS system-on-chip (SOC) solutions for 802.11a 5GHz wireless LAN platforms. Founded in 1999, the company focused on providing two-chip CMOS WLAN chipsets enabling direct-conversion radio architectures for the emerging 802.11a standard. In December 2002, Resonext Communications was acquired by RF Micro Devices (RFMD), a leading supplier of wireless semiconductor components, which used Resonext's technology and engineering team to enter the WLAN chip market.
