RecensMedical is a South Korean medical device company founded in 2016 by Professor Gun-Ho Kim at UNIST (Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology), developing next-generation precision cooling technology for medical applications in ophthalmology, dermatology, and veterinary care. Its flagship product OcuCool received FDA De Novo approval in 2024 as the first cooling anesthesia device cleared by the FDA, enabling rapid non-pharmaceutical topical anesthesia for ophthalmic procedures such as intravitreal injections.
