Raxium

Raxium, acquired by Google in May 2022, develops pioneering MicroLED display technology for next-generation AR and VR devices. The company's core innovation is monolithic integration of RGB microLED pixels at micron to sub-micron scale, achieving displays that are 150x smaller and 1000x brighter than conventional alternatives while consuming ultra-low power. Raxium's displays target augmented and virtual reality microdisplays as well as autostereoscopic light field panel arrays enabling full-depth 3D without eyewear. Prior to acquisition, Raxium operated as an independent startup in Fremont, California, founded around 2017.
