Raba is an investment partnership that focuses on early-stage, category-defining companies in emerging technology ecosystems, with a portfolio concentrated in fintech across Africa and other frontier markets. The team, based in Cape Town, has backed dozens of pre-seed and seed fintech companies, including Flutterwave, a payments API infrastructure company across Africa backed alongside Avenir, PayPal, and Tiger Global, and OnePipe, a banking-as-a-service provider for African fintechs backed alongside Tribe Capital. Rather than acting as a traditional venture fund, Raba positions itself as long-term business partners to the founders it backs.
