QphoX

QphoX is a quantum transduction company founded in 2021 as a spin-off from TU Delft, developing the world's first Quantum Modem — a breakthrough device that enables quantum computers to communicate with one another across a quantum network. The company's core technology converts microwave quantum signals into optical signals at room temperature, allowing quantum information to travel through standard optical fiber networks over long distances. QphoX's Quantum Transducer product is a critical building block toward scalable, distributed quantum computing and the realization of the quantum internet. The company is a member of the Quantum Internet Alliance and has received backing from the European Innovation Council. Its most recent funding round of €8 million, closed in January 2024, is the largest investment in a quantum company in the Netherlands to date. QphoX has partnerships with companies including Rigetti Computing and QuantWare to develop networked quantum processors.
